LEARN TO BE A FARMER FOR A DAY, A FUN WAY PIK2 CSR CULTIVATES A LOVE OF NATURE FROM AN EARLY AGE
Learning doesn't always have to take place inside a classroom. Childhood is the ideal time to nurture curiosity, compassion, and a lifelong love of learning. Often, the most meaningful lessons come through play, exploration, and direct interaction with nature. Inspired by this belief, PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk. through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program "Kak Rara: The Day I Became a Farmer" on 9 July 2026 at Scientia Square Park.
As part of the program, 25 children from Majelis Ta'lim Al-Masyriqiyah in Lemo Village, Teluknaga District, were invited to experience life as a farmer for a day. They learned how to plant crops, harvest produce, and understand the journey of food from farm to table. Every activity was designed to be fun and engaging, allowing the children to learn while playing.
The excitement continued as the children interacted with a variety of animals. Their initial curiosity gradually turned into confidence, while the experience helped them develop a greater appreciation for living creatures and the importance of caring for the environment from an early age.
Beyond exploring nature, the children enthusiastically participated in a series of educational games designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Each activity provided a new learning experience that was not only entertaining but also helped build character and self-confidence.
"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to PIK2 and Kak Rara for inviting our Majelis Ta'lim to take part in this field trip and outing class. Seeing the children's enthusiasm throughout the activities has been truly remarkable. They were incredibly happy and excited to participate. We hope this experience will leave a lasting impression on them and give them the opportunity to discover the world beyond their everyday surroundings," said Masrik and Fatimah, representatives of Majelis Ta'lim Al-Masyriqiyah.
"Kak Rara: The Day I Became a Farmer" demonstrates that some of the best learning experiences come through hands-on activities. As children laugh, try new things, and confidently explore the world around them, they also develop responsibility, empathy, and a passion for lifelong learning. By combining education, play, and interaction with nature, the program aims to foster environmental awareness, encourage teamwork, and inspire children to dream big and continue growing.
Through initiatives like this, PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk hopes its CSR programs will continue to create meaningful benefits for the community, particularly by supporting the development of future generations through enjoyable and impactful learning experiences. More importantly, the company hopes to plant the seeds of hope that will inspire a generation that is more caring, independent, and ready to make positive contributions to Indonesia's future.
