SPKLU CENTER OPENS AT ALOHA PIK 2, ENHANCING THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE EXPERIENCE IN BANTEN

Tangerang Regency, 8 May 2026 — PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit (UID) Banten has introduced the SPKLU Center at Aloha PIK, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang Regency, as part of its efforts to strengthen the electric vehicle ecosystem in Banten Province. The facility marks a strategic step in providing faster, centralized, and more integrated charging services that align with public lifestyle activities and modern public spaces.
The inauguration of the SPKLU Center was attended by Adi Priyanto, Director of Retail and Commerce of PT PLN (Persero); Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, Regent of Tangerang; Ari James Faraddy, Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Agency (ESDM) of Banten Province; Muhammad Joharifin, General Manager of PLN UID Banten; and Bobby Cristya Surya, Senior Manager of Commerce and Customer Management at PLN UID Banten.
Adi Priyanto stated that the presence of the SPKLU Center reflects PLN’s commitment to providing charging services that are increasingly adaptive to public needs. “The SPKLU Center at Aloha PIK2 is PLN’s first centralized SPKLU facility in Banten Province featuring Ultra Fast Charging services. We want to ensure that the public has access to charging facilities that are fast, convenient, and comfortable as the adoption of electric vehicles continues to grow,” he said.

He added that the development of SPKLU facilities in strategic locations plays an important role in strengthening public confidence in electric vehicles. “The presence of the SPKLU Center at Aloha PIK2 demonstrates that electric vehicle infrastructure is now becoming increasingly integrated with people’s daily activities. Charging is no longer viewed as a challenge, but rather as part of a lifestyle experience,” he added.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Joharifin explained that technically, the SPKLU Center was designed to deliver optimal and reliable charging performance. “This SPKLU Center is equipped with six Ultra Fast Charging units with a charging capacity of 120 kW each. All available machines are Ultra Fast Chargers capable of significantly reducing charging time compared to conventional charging systems,” he explained.
He further noted that time efficiency is one of the facility’s key advantages. “With Ultra Fast Charging technology, electric vehicle users only need approximately 15 to 30 minutes to charge their vehicle batteries from 20% to 80%, or even to full capacity depending on the battery specifications. This greatly supports the mobility needs of modern users,” he added.

Joharifin also emphasized that the choice of location at Aloha PIK2 provides added value in terms of customer convenience. “The integration between charging facilities and a lifestyle destination allows customers to continue enjoying their activities while charging their vehicles. This is part of PLN’s effort to provide services that are not only reliable but also relevant to the needs of today’s society,” he said.
To date, PLN has established 253 SPKLU units across 139 locations throughout Banten Province, reflecting its readiness to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles. The addition of the SPKLU Center further strengthens PLN’s role in delivering infrastructure capable of meeting broader customer needs.
Through the development of the SPKLU Center at Aloha PIK2, PLN continues to encourage the transformation toward clean energy mobility while introducing a new electric vehicle experience that is more practical, faster, and seamlessly integrated with everyday life.
